St. Columba Ecumenical Ministries, Inc. is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization dedicated to helping those who have fallen on hard times. Our organization has been providing support to the less fortunate since 1987.

Our Mission

It is our mission to operate an ecumenical ministry in response to the Biblical Mandate to minister to persons in need, whether these needs are economic, social or spiritual. The ministry is a direct, hands on ministry recognizing the integrity of individuals and working with them where they are. The ministry is indirect, working with churches and other organizations to establish activities that address people's needs.

Our Programs

St. Columba has a variety of programs that serve the homeless and less fortunate in the Hampton Roads community, including a full list of regularly occurring programs, as well as special programs offered throughout the year.

Day Center

Day Center
The Day Center provides a safe shelter for the community we serve to take care of their most essential needs. Guests can get showers, sandwiches, coffee, and other snacks.

Our food pantry provides households with enough food for up to three days. We take into consideration restrictions clients may have on what they can eat or prepare.

Funded through private foundation monies, this program is specifically for homeless individuals in Norfolk who are in need of assistance with prescription medications.

Vision & Dental Program Funded through private foundation monies, this program is specifically for homeless individuals in Norfolk who are in need of emergency dental work (fillings and extractions) & eye exams.

Easter Baskets, School Supplies, Thanksgiving Baskets, Christmas Baskets. For Christmas, we provide food similar to Thanksgiving, but also coordinate a gift program. Join our mission to help others.
