The Day Center provides a safe day shelter for the community we serve to take care of their most essential needs.
Our Center is open Monday through Thursday from 9 am to 12 pm, homeless adults can get showers, sandwiches, coffee, and other snacks. Last sign in for showers is at 11:00 am. We see an average of 30 people in our Day Center each day. We allow guests to use our phones for the purpose of seeking employment and establishing services with other agencies and have regular outreach from partner agencies in our private back office.
Our Clothing Closet is available to Day Center clients and consists of mostly donated clothing so we have limited control over size or style. We do try to make available seasonally appropriate clothing. Women’s clothing is available on a rack in our Day Center, first come, first serve; men’s clothing is distributed in sets based on size approximately every other month.
Our Homeless Advocate works with guests to help them connect with resources, including housing assessments, referral and advocacy.

Sam was a veteran who had served his country proudly for many years. His time in the service caused him to experience many things that were difficult for him to process and he was eventually diagnosed with PTSD. It was challenging for him to hold down a job and, without an income, he eventually lost his apartment. In his time of need, he came to our Day Center to get something to eat, take a shower and connect with other services. We were able to work with him for many months, connect him to agencies that specifically serve veterans and help him receive treatment for his PTSD. This allowed him to return to the workforce and overcome his homelessness.
